How to Draw the Batman Logo Step-by-Step Pictures

Intro: Start off with a pencil sketch. In the beginning stages, don’t press down too hard. Use light, smooth strokes for sketching.

 

Step 1: Draw a short, horizontal line for the top part of the Batman logo. On either side of the line, draw two small, triangle-like shapes for the bat's ears. The ears are similar to an upside- down letter V. Don't make them too big.

Step 2: Make the sides of the head a bit longer. The Batman logo is symmetrical, so try to keep both sides the same. To the left of the head, make a small mark to indicate how high the side wing will be. Now connect the head to the mark with a curved line to create the first part of the wing on the Batman logo.

Step 3: Now do the same thing on the left side of the Batman logo. First make a mark. Make sure both sides are the same height. Now draw a curved line from the mark to the head. Make sure the bottoms of the curved lines dip the same amount.

 

Step 4: On the far left side, make a small mark to indicate the width of the Batman logo. Now connect the mark to the top of the wing for a pointy tip at the top. Continue drawing the line downward so that the left side is basically a long, curved line.

 

Step 5: Now do the same thing on the other side. First make a small mark on the far right side. Place your mark so that both sides of the Batman logo are the same width. Connect the mark to the top, curved line. At the bottom, make another mark to make sure each side is the same length. Then finish drawing the curved side.

Step 6: On the left side of the Batman logo, draw a small, curved line. This line should be similar to an upside-down letter U.

 

Step 7: Now draw a similar curved line on the right side of the Batman logo. Make sure both lines are the same size.

Step 8: On the left side, draw another U-shaped line that ends up in the middle of the bottom. To figure out the middle, lightly sketch a line from the top to the bottom and make a mark. Then complete your curved line.

 

Step 9: Draw a similar curved line on the right side to finish the shape of the Batman logo. The inner-most curved lines at the bottom should come to a long point.

 

Step 10: Draw an oval around the Batman logo by first making a couple of horizontal marks at the top and bottom. Now make a vertical mark on either side to indicate the width of the oval. Connect all the marks with curved lines to finish the shape of the oval. Sketch lightly at first so that it's easy to erase if you don't get the curved lines right the first time. When you get the shape of the oval right, darken the lines. The oval should be very close to the drawing inside.

Step 11: Using a pen or marker, carefully go over the final lines to make your Batman logo drawing permanent. After inking, get rid of every pencil mark with an eraser.

Final Step: Color your drawing of the Batman logo using color pencils, markers or crayons! Use black on the inside. Make the line for the oval thicker and use yellow for the inside of the oval. Don't forget to pause the video after each step to draw at your own pace.
